Sephora Express Dry Shampoo Review

Hello beauties!

How are you? I hope you are doing very well and having a great time.

Today I will talk to you about dry shampoos.

Years after their appearance, still there is a myth around them and they have not gained the fame they deserve.

When people first hear the word “dry shampoo”, they think that you are too bored to wash your hair and you just spray on them.

Or they think you are talking about a shampoo for dry hair.

Neither is the case.

Dry shampoo is a contemporary product designed to offer us solution in a difficult situation, such as a broken boiler or even save us upon an unexpected date!

Surely most of you have days that are not in the mood to do anything and just want to stay home. And suddenly when you are rotting at the sofa an old friend calls and invites you to go out. You haven’t showered or washed your hair. What do you do? Cancel? Of course not!

You take a quick shower and spray your hair with dry shampoo!
Their  formula contains aerosol propellants, absorbing agents, solvents, conditioning agents, fragrance, preservatives and more, all of which help to absorb excess grease and give volume to hair with a good brushing.

I have tried the talc version and the spray on version. I like the spray one more.
The other just makes my hair look whitish.

Lately I have been using the Sephora Express Dry Shampoo

It is the first one I use that I am not repelled by its smell. It has the most lovely, fresh, floral scent. I spray on a little on the roots and my hair smell as if I was dragging them on flowers!
It is a great dry shampoo. It does what it says and what it should do. I love it.

It comes in a 75 ml spray bottle and costs here in Greece around 7 euro.

The only thing I have to complain about is that it runs out really really fast.
I mean I use it only 3-5 times.

But its size is great for travel!

And the one I want to try, and soon, is the Klorane Oatmilk Gentle Dry Shampoo.

I have heard that it is one the best out there. It is a bit more expensive but it’s 150 ml and more natural than the others.

That’s it for me about dry shampoos! As soon as I try the Klorane, I will get back to you!

Do you use dry shampoo yourselves?  If yes, tell me which one and suggest!

Stay healthy & beautiful

Wedding in Santorini

Hello everyone!

How are you? Today is rather cold here in Athens but I have somehing that will warm you and make you anxious for the summer to come!

Last week I traveled to Santorini to do the bridal makeup of a beautiful Chinese bride in cooperation with the travel consulting agency Sunrise Greece  owned by Greeks and based in Hong Kong. They specialize in organizing weddings and photo shoots for Asian couples in the unique and extraordinary scenery of Santorini.
I have worked with them in the past few months again and I have seen their work up close and is truly amazing and is too bad that not many Greeks do as the Chinese and honor one of our most beautiful places and one of the entire world.

For the Chinese, coming to Greece and more, marrying in Santorini is a dream come true.
All this white & blue that we, are used to, for them is something very special and different.
They feel awe and excitement under the blue Aegean sky, the wild morphology of the island, the deep blue sea, the white roofs, the blue bell towers of the traditional island churches.
It is a breathtaking sight that even me, being Greek takes me by surprise every single time.

But enough with the talking.
I want to show you exactly what I mean and I want you to feel, even at the slightest, how I felt.
I was also their wedding coordinator so you will get the chance to see photos throughtout the preparation, wedding and photo shoot.

I hope you liked it and took some ideas... ;)

And if you have any new & fresh ideas, Sunrise Greece Agency is looking for talented, willed & sociable partners in Greece regarding hair, makeup, styling, coordination etc.
Contact: sunrisegreece@gmail.com

I am looking forward for your comments!

Stay healthy & beautiful!

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask Review

Hello my beauties!

How are you? The last days in Athens the weather is sooo cold. I hope you keep yourself warm and comfortable!

Another thing with the all this cold weather is that our skin, dry, normal, combination or even oily, suffers… and we need to moisturize our skin even more in order not to feel it cracked or thirsty.

And just in time while having these thoughts, this baby knocked on my door.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask*

It is the new addition to the Clinique Moisture Surge family.

It is a very moisturizing overnight face mask that surprising is not oily at all! It sinks in your skin and you can feel the moisture that very moment when you put it on.

During the night, our skin becomes vulnerable and the humidity levels drop low. This mask claims to calm and soothe the skin from all the irritation it faced during the day.
I am using it for the last week and here is my opinion.

Its consistency is neither heavy nor light.Oil-free. It boosts your skin with many ingredients such as seed butter, olive extract, shea butter, mango butter, pomegranate strols, hyalouronic acid and many many more!
Absorbs very easily depending on how thirsty is your skin, though with this weather all types of skin need it.

I was very reluctant at first as I have combination/oily skin and thought it would made me worse. But that was not the case. It moisturizes my skin during the night when no makeup on and when I wake up it feels refreshed, glowy and elastic, if that makes any sense to you!
You do not change your skin regime at all. Well, maybe for some will spare you the night cream step cause it is enough by itself.

It does not need rinsing off as your skin will absorb it and work with it all night long!
I like it very much and I will continue to use it but will limit it down to two times a week as I do not need it more.

As we get older, we learn one or two things about the skin and how to take care of it and one of the most important things to do is moisturize.

This overnight mask is a great addition to our daily skin routine. It gives that something extra that we may or may not need but will try anyway!

I would especially recommend those with normal or dry skin to try out this mask cause they will be surprised by how well are going to feel their skin after.

It will be available in stores by February 2013 and the suggested price is 34.90 €

How do you like it so far? Would you give it a try?

As always…. stay healthy & beautiful. xxx

Today I will talk to you about something different than beauty products and reviews and buys but Beauty Related as always!

About a year ago when I started dealing more with makeup and started my blog and all that, I came across the lovely and super talented Pixiwoo on YouTube.

I love them both, Samantha & Nicola, so when I heard that a few months ago they launched a digital magazine about Beauty & MakeUp, I was excited.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder Review

Hello my beauties!

How are you?
The holidays are getting closer and closer and I would love for you to tell me what you have planned to do. And I mean from where you are going to spend the holidays, to the outfit you're wearing to dazzle the crowds and the makeup you have on your mind for so many special nights to come!

But before that, let me tell you about a face powder I was hearing constanly on youtube and reading on blogs, that I had to try it myself.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

As a girl with a combination/oily skin I am always looking out for the perfect powder that will "seal" my foundation and cover my face with this invisible veil that will make my skin looks dewy but matte, natural but carefully made up. I know, this sounds a little bit dreamy to you, but a girl can always hope.
Day after day, for the last two months, while watching my favourite beauty youtubers, I noticed that most of them kept talking about this powder and placing it next to high end products. They were talking how this powder keeps your face matte for so long that no other, even high end, can.

So I decided to give it a go. As you may know, in Greece, there are no Rimmel products, so I had to order it online. This time I used for the first time the fantastic feelunique.com and with free delivery I got this baby for 5.19 euros!
I chose the shade Transparent beacause I wasn't sure how pigmented they are.
But it is rather whitish although it blends well with your skin and becomes invisible after a while.
The powder does what it says, to my big surprise! Normally, two hours after I have powdered my face, I would need to blot my face or re-powder or something. But with this one, I didn't  have to do that not before 5-6 hours which is amazing considering I have extremely oily T-zone!
I love this powder! It is not cakey, it has a nice powdery smell, does not cloge my pores and lasts a lot!

I would totally recommend this powder to those you struggle with oily skin and shiny T-zone as it is amazing! It is ridicullously cheap so you won't regret buying it even if you don't like it. Unlikely though!

Have you tried this powder? Or you have another favourite to keep the shine away?
Please do tell!!!

As always....
stay healthy & beautiful

Bioten. Beauty inspired by Nature

Hello my beauties!!

I hope you are well and have a big heart to be able to forgive me for not writing a post for so many days....

So today I want to talk to you about a drugstore skincare range that is not given the attention it deserves mostly because of the low prices that come along.

BIOTEN

Wide range of products filled with natural ingredients and made under the latest technology to provide the care your skin need and wants with very affordable prices.
Over the past years we all became aware of many dangerous ingredients we used to put on our skin without knowing.
We searched, asked, tested and we are still learning. We want the products we use to be as much as harmless as we can.
Bioten combines natural extracts to create safe and effective prducts for almost every skin type and its needs.
The word "affordable" is an understatement" but as is "quality" when it comes to Bioten.
I used to see them on the supermarket selves and not give much attention. That was until I came across with the Moisturising Day Cream with quince nectar.

It was summer, I wanted something simple and moisturising, my budget was limited so I gave it a go.
It was exatly what I wanted at the time. It moisturised my skin without feeling it heavy.
It is great for combination skin but there is one for the ones with dry skin as well.
Price: 5.35 euros

Along with that day cream I tried the Cleansing Gel frm the same line

and I was very happy with it as well. It has a lovely smell and it feels really refreshing on your skin. Takes away your makeup, your skin feels very clean and my pores seem more "relaxed" if that makes sense to you!
Price: 3.50 euros

Last but not least I have on my kit the facial wipes of the same line.
I don't often use wipes to take off my makeup but I always have a pack of them. I use on clients, to correct any mistake or to quickly "clean" brushes between if I have more than one makeup session to do. They are not oily, not very wet and have a very fresh smell.
Price: appr. 2 euros (they are usually on sale 2in1)

These are the products that I have personally use from Bioten.
I am very pleased with their quality, price and the feeling that I don't damage my skin.
They are the perfect range for younger girls that are starting now using skincare!

Have you tried any Bioten Products?
What do ou think of them?

As always.....stay healthy & beautiful!
xxx

p.s two of these products were sent to me for review and above you see my honest opinion.
